This Rocks: Gallstone Parure!

Gallstone Parure Rocks Hard

Gallstone Parure Rocks Hard

What a pearl of a set! What you see here is a necklace, earrings, nose ring and bracelet made from the gallstones of a 32-year-old woman in India.

According to The Hindu Business Online:

S. Valsala Devi, a pathologist at the hospital and also a member of the team that operated on the patient, designed various pieces of jewellery using the 300 or so stones removed from the woman’s gall bladder during the surgery.

The gallstones were of different shapes, sizes and colours, says the release.

This one-of-a-kind jewellery set is, of course, not for sale.

Well, our prototypes aren’t back from the workshop yet, but it’s reasonable to expect our product line to be simultaneously more bilious and more aesthetically pleasing. Custom designs are available, of course. As well, by purchasing our Authentic Human Pearls™ you’ll be supporting local independent growers.

Well wouldja look at that! One day old and already megaceleb Britney Spears has recorded a tribute to us. It’s humbling, really, to see the multiple comments on Facebook, and the really quite impressive statistics for a simple, day old, human pearl jewelry website.
